IGS Focus Privacy Policy

1. About IGS Focus

IGS Focus is a productivity and focus application that works with a personal Google Sheets Planner. It helps users select tasks, define focus-session boundaries, work in a distraction-reduced Focus Mode, track focused time, recover interrupted sessions, and record Actual Duration back to the Planner.

2. Google User Data IGS Focus Accesses

IGS Focus requests access only to the Google spreadsheet in which the IGS Focus Planner is installed. It does not request general access to all files in your Google Drive.

Depending on how you use IGS Focus, information processed through your Planner may include:

• Task names and task identifiers
• Outcome, purpose, or WHY information entered in the Planner
• Forecast Duration and Actual Duration
• Focus Block and row identifiers
• Focus-session status and elapsed-time information
• Selected time boundaries
• Language preference
• Technical session and relay identifiers required to operate Focus Mode

IGS Focus does not request access to Gmail, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, or general Google Drive file contents as part of the IGS Focus Planner workflow.

3. How We Use Google User Data

Google user data accessed by IGS Focus is used only to provide or improve user-facing IGS Focus functionality.

Examples include:

• Identifying the task selected for a focus session
• Displaying the selected task and its purpose in Focus Mode
• Displaying Forecast Duration and Actual Duration
• Starting, pausing, resuming, recovering, and ending focus sessions
• Calculating and recording focused time back to the Planner
• Returning the user to the correct task after Focus Mode ends
• Restoring an interrupted active session
• Providing English or Arabic interface preferences

IGS Focus does not use Google user data for advertising, personalized advertising, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.

4. Data Stored in Your IGS Focus Planner

The primary record of your planning and focus activity remains inside your own Google Sheets Planner.

This may include visible Planner information such as tasks, Forecast Duration, and Actual Duration, as well as technical information used by IGS Focus such as:

• Permanent task identifiers
• Focus Block identifiers
• Exact accumulated focus seconds
• Current session state
• Session recovery information
• Language preference

These records are stored within the user's Planner or its associated Apps Script document properties so IGS Focus can maintain timing accuracy and recover sessions when necessary.

5. Information Sent to the IGS Focus Central App

When you start or recover a Focus session, the Planner sends a limited session snapshot to the IGS Focus Central App so the Focus interface can operate.

This snapshot may include:

• The Google spreadsheet identifier
• Focus Block, row, and task identifiers
• Task name
• The WHY or purpose text displayed for the current focus session
• Forecast Duration and current Actual Duration
• Focus-session identifier and secure relay token
• Selected time boundary
• Current session status and accumulated session time
• Language preference
• A return link to the relevant Planner task

6. Temporary Relay and Session Storage

IGS Focus uses temporary technical storage to coordinate communication between the Planner, Focus Mode, and the Desktop Shell.

Current system behavior includes approximately:

• Desktop Shell launch requests retained for up to approximately 2 minutes unless consumed sooner.
• Focus-session relay commands and command results retained for up to approximately 10 minutes.
• Ended-session protection markers retained for up to approximately 24 hours to prevent an already-completed focus session from being unintentionally restarted.

These temporary records are used for session coordination, recovery, reliability, and prevention of duplicate or stale commands.

7. IGS Focus Desktop Shell

If you use the optional IGS Focus Desktop Shell browser extension, the extension may temporarily store session context in your Chrome browser so it can provide the native focus launcher, recover an interrupted session, and return you to the correct Planner task.

This local context may include task and session identifiers, task name, current WHY text, Forecast Duration, Actual Duration, focus time boundary, language preference, Planner return location, and technical relay information.

Active-session context is cleared as part of the normal session end and return workflow. Some anti-replay identifiers may remain locally so an already-consumed launch request is not executed again.

8. How We Share Information

IGS Focus does not sell Google user data.

Google user data is not transferred to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

Information may be processed through Google infrastructure and the IGS Focus application components only as necessary to provide the user-facing functionality described in this Privacy Policy.

We may disclose information if required by applicable law, legal process, or to investigate security, fraud, or abuse.

9. Human Access to Google User Data

IGS Focus is designed so routine focus-session processing is automated.

We do not routinely access or read a user's Planner content manually. Human access may occur only when necessary and permitted, such as:

• When the user explicitly requests support involving specific data
• To investigate security, abuse, or a technical problem
• When required by applicable law

10. Security

IGS Focus uses technical measures intended to reduce unauthorized session access and accidental duplicate processing.

These measures include session identifiers, relay tokens, short-lived requests, one-shot acknowledgement behavior, idempotent command processing, and ended-session protection.

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to use appropriate safeguards for the information processed by IGS Focus.

11. Your Control Over Your Data

Your Planner is stored in your Google account and remains under your control.

You may stop using IGS Focus at any time. You may also remove or modify Planner information directly in your own Google Sheet, subject to any technical fields required while IGS Focus remains active.

You can revoke IGS Focus's Google authorization through your Google Account security and connected-app settings.

12. Google API Services User Data Policy

IGS Focus's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data is used only for providing or improving the user-facing IGS Focus functionality described in this policy.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when IGS Focus functionality, data practices, or applicable requirements change.

If changes materially affect how Google user data is used, stored, or shared, the updated policy will be published on this page and users will be notified or asked for updated consent where required.
